Trio Holds Gun to Man’s Head in Central Park Robbery

In a brazen act of violence, a trio of criminals targeted a man in Central Park during an early morning robbery. The incident occurred at approximately 6:10 a.m. on Friday at the intersection of East 59th Street and East Drive within the iconic greenspace. The victim, a 42-year-old man, was approached by the three suspects who wasted no time in displaying their callousness.

One of the assailants brandished a firearm, pressing it against the man’s head, while the other two proceeded to assault him by repeatedly striking his face. The motive behind this vicious attack was the theft of the victim’s belongings. The criminals managed to escape with two cell phones and a wallet before fleeing the scene.

The suspects fled in a northerly direction along the bike path, heading towards Swan Lake. Despite the victim sustaining minor facial injuries, he was able to receive prompt medical attention. He was transported to Lenox Hill Hospital, where he is currently in stable condition.
