A 17-year-old, John Bradley, has been arrested following the alleged murder of his ex-girlfriend, Rianna Glass (16), and her mother Rosalyn Glass (39) in North Catasauqua, Pennsylvania. The tragic incident occurred last week in their residence on Railroad Street.
Bradley is accused of fatally stabbing both individuals last Thursday. After the alleged attack, he reportedly stole Rosalyn’s car and crashed it around 6 a.m. the same day, seriously injuring a 14-year-old girl who was present at the crime scene during the murders. Both Bradley and the young girl were ejected from the vehicle during the crash, and authorities found a knife near Bradley.
The suspect was later apprehended at his home in North Whitehall Township and is currently held without bail, while the injured girl is receiving treatment at CHOP.
Northampton County District Attorney, Terence Houck, revealed that the victim and the accused had ended their relationship in August 2023. He also noted that Bradley had recently learned about Rianna’s new relationship. Houck plans to prosecute Bradley as an adult, with investigations involving DNA recovery and surveillance camera analysis underway.
Rianna, a junior at Northampton Area High School, had informed a family friend of Bradley’s visit on Wednesday night. Hours later, the friend received a distressing message indicating Bradley’s unwillingness to leave.
Since the discovery of the victims on Thursday, community members and friends have been paying tribute, organizing a memorial service scheduled for Saturday and setting up a GoFundMe campaign to assist with the funeral expenses. Family friends mourned the loss, with one noting, “I can still feel her aura, she’s still alive. I don’t want to think that she’s gone completely.”
