Series of Crimes Unfold in San Jose Area

A string of criminal incidents has recently occurred in the San Jose area, leaving residents concerned about their safety. The following events took place in various locations across the city.

In a disturbing incident on the Los Gatos Creek Trail and San Tomas Expressway, a man riding a black bicycle approached a victim and sexually assaulted her by slapping her buttocks. This act of sexual battery has raised alarm among local residents.

Another incident of disorderly conduct unfolded in the 24000 block of Winchester Boulevard. A heavily intoxicated man was observed stumbling away from an incident. Authorities determined that he was unable to care for himself due to his level of intoxication.

In the 700 block of Nido Drive, a man subjected the victim to physical abuse, punching them multiple times and kicking them once over several hours. The victim sustained visible injuries. The assailant fled the scene but was later apprehended in a nearby business and taken into custody.

A case of petty theft occurred in the 500 block of East Hamilton Avenue, where an individual entered a store, stole five pairs of shoes valued at approximately $500, and made a swift escape through the back emergency door.

In the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue, a theft of approximately $1,000 worth of items took place. The stolen items were later recovered by the San Jose police after locating the vehicle involved in a sideshow.

A vehicle theft occurred in the same area, with a man reporting that his vehicle had been stolen from a parking lot overnight. Fortunately, the San Jose police were able to recover the stolen vehicle at a sideshow and subsequently towed it.

A robbery took place at the intersection of Wilton and Nido drives, where a victim was approached by an individual who stole their wallet containing around $900.

In the 2400 block of Winchester Boulevard, a man stole merchandise from a store and attempted to flee when officers arrived to arrest him. After a brief foot pursuit, he was apprehended and refused to provide identification.

Officers encountered an intoxicated man in the 900 block of West Hamilton Avenue, who displayed signs of alcohol consumption and was unable to answer basic questions or perform a sobriety test. The individual became argumentative and was subsequently booked into jail.

During the early morning hours, three suspects forcibly entered a business in the 900 block of West Hamilton Avenue, gaining access to the safe and stealing several pieces of jewelry.

A man was found in possession of drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine, and an illegal switchblade during a vehicle code violation stop at Almarida Drive and David Avenue.

In the 800 block of West Hamilton Avenue, a man used an incendiary device to start a fire, causing property damage.

A green BeeCool eBike valued at $1,800 was reported stolen in the 300 block of East Campbell Avenue.

A man was found in possession of drug paraphernalia and fentanyl during a welfare check at East Hamilton and South Bascom avenues.

A man was reported sitting in the roadway smoking from a pipe at Rosemary Lane and South Winchester Boulevard. He was found to be under the influence of a stimulant and in possession of methamphetamine.

A man was found driving under the influence with his 1-year-old daughter in the vehicle at the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue.

In the 700 block of West Valley Drive, a suspect assaulted their spouse, causing visible injuries.

A man reportedly stole sunglasses valued at $20 from a wheelchair in the 00 block of West Hamilton Avenue. However, the stolen sunglasses were not found in his possession when he was later contacted.

A motorist driving recklessly collided with a building in the 1700 block of South Winchester Boulevard, resulting in injuries to a passenger. The driver attempted to conceal evidence and was found in possession of marijuana intended for sale.

Approximately $25 was stolen from a tip jar in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue.

A victim was shot with a BB gun, robbed of their cell phone and wallet, in the 2300 block of Winchester Boulevard.

A man with prior DUI convictions was stopped for a vehicle code violation at East Hamilton Avenue and Creekside Way. He displayed signs of alcohol intoxication and was found to be driving under the influence.

Two suspects rammed a vehicle into a business in the 2000 block of South Bascom Avenue, attempting to commit burglary. However, responding officers interrupted their actions, and the suspects fled the scene in two Dodge Challengers without license plates.

In the 800 block of Springfield Drive, two suspects attempted to steal a catalytic converter from a victim’s car. When confronted, one suspect fired three shots, narrowly missing the victim. Both suspects fled in a newer-model white sedan.

A man was stopped for a vehicle code violation at Highway 17 and East Hamilton Avenue and found to be in possession of marijuana while driving without a license.
