NYPD Officers Fatally Shoot Gunman in Brooklyn Street Chase

NYPD officers responded to multiple 911 calls reporting gunshots and a man with a firearm involved in a dispute in East Flatbush, Brooklyn on Monday evening. While canvassing the neighborhood in an unmarked car, four officers unexpectedly encountered a dramatic pursuit at the intersection of East 57th Street and Remsen Avenue. The officers witnessed a 20-year-old suspect relentlessly chasing a man and a woman while firing shots at them.
