1. Possession of Paraphernalia: A man was found in possession of drug paraphernalia after causing a disturbance in the 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue at 1:12 p.m.
2. Retail Theft: A shoplifter stole merchandise worth less than $400 in the 500 block of East Hamilton Avenue at 12:51 p.m.
3. Disturbance by Loud Noise: A woman playing loud music inside her apartment caused a disturbance in the 500 block of West Hacienda Avenue at 8:23 a.m.
4. Retail Theft, Controlled Substance, Possession of Paraphernalia: A woman committed organized retail theft by exiting a store without paying in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue at 9:49 p.m. She was found in possession of drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine, and was under the influence of a stimulant. Additionally, she had three felony warrants.
5. Obtaining Money by False Pretenses: A victim reported approximately $5,000 being withdrawn from their bank account without permission since approximately one year ago in the 1600 block of South Winchester Boulevard.
6. Assault with a Deadly Weapon: Three victims were confronted by a man acting erratically in the 500 block of West Rincon Avenue at 6:35 p.m. The suspect attempted to slash at the victims with a silver box-cutter/knife, injuring one victim’s hand before being disarmed.
7. Disorderly Conduct: A male and female caused a disturbance at a restaurant in the 2100 block of Winchester Boulevard at 5:07 p.m. The male was arrested for public intoxication.
8. Possession of a Controlled Substance, Concealing Evidence: A woman with outstanding misdemeanor warrants totaling $38,000 was found with a small baggie of white crystalline substance hidden within arm’s reach in the 1900 block of South Bascom Avenue at 1:50 a.m.
9. Corporal Injury, False Imprisonment: A man held a victim against her will in a tight hug, preventing her from leaving for three minutes. A struggle ensued at the victim’s vehicle, resulting in the victim’s arm being shoved and leaving a red mark in the 900 block of Ravenscourt Avenue at 11 p.m.
10. Defraud Innkeeper: Four individuals dined and dashed, leaving a bill of $950 at a restaurant in the 100 block of East Campbell Avenue. They fled to the VTA station on Winchester.
11. Retail Theft: Two people stole approximately $2,010 worth of fragrances in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue at 5 p.m.
12. DUI: A man was stopped for a vehicle code violation at Curtner Avenue and South McGlincy Lane at 2:31 a.m. He displayed signs of alcohol intoxication and failed sobriety field tests.
13. Petty Theft: A woman was observed taking items without paying at a business in the 2400 block of Winchester Boulevard at 4:10 p.m. She was cited for theft and released.
14. Robbery: A man stole a $1 Crunch bar from a business in the 2300 block of Winchester Boulevard at 6:05 a.m. When confronted, he threatened the victim.
15. DUI: A man was stopped for a vehicle code violation at South Bascom and East Hamilton avenues at 2:15 a.m. He was found to be driving under the influence and was arrested.
16. Burglary: Someone pulled the screen off a window and entered a building in the 200 block of Budd Avenue at 1:19 a.m.
17. Petty Theft: A man recognized from prior incidents stole a bag from a business in the 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue at 3:30 p.m. The stolen bag was recovered.
18. Retail Theft: Two people were arrested for stealing approximately $1,300 worth of miscellaneous products in the 500 block of East Hamilton Avenue at 2:21 p.m.
19. Disorderly Conduct, Carrying Loaded Handgun, Willful Discharge of Firearm, Battery on Peace Officer: Multiple subjects playing loud music were reported in the 200 block of East Hamilton Avenue at 1:58 a.m. One person resisted officers and challenged them to a fight. An unregistered Stoger 9mm handgun was found, and five additional suspects were arrested for disorderly conduct.
