New Developments in 23-Year-Old Cold Case: ,000 Reward Offered

The West Virginia State Police are intensifying efforts to solve the 23-year-old disappearance of Natasha “Alex” Carter and her mother, Susan Carter, who vanished around August 8, 2000, amid a custody dispute. Despite initial beliefs that it was a case of kidnapping by Susan, ongoing investigations now categorize both as missing persons.

Recently, authorities have centered their search in Raleigh County, executing two warrants at the former residence of Susan’s then-partner, Larry Webb, the last person known to have seen them. Webb, now in his 80s, maintains his innocence, claiming ignorance of their whereabouts.

In a bid to unearth leads, a $20,000 reward is being offered for information that assists in resolving the case. Individuals with pertinent details are encouraged to reach out to the WVSP Beckley Detachment at (304)-256-6700.
