Morgan Wallen’s Chair-Throwing Case Set for August Court Appearance

Country music artist Morgan Wallen is expected to make a court appearance in August for his chair-throwing case, which has garnered significant attention in recent months. Wallen’s attorney, Worrick Robinson, represented him during a procedural hearing held in Nashville on May 3. The court waived Wallen’s presence at the hearing, where the charges against him were discussed, and a next court date was scheduled for August 15.

Robinson acknowledged the complexity of the case, stating that it would require subpoenas and witnesses to be resolved. He informed reporters that Wallen would be present at the upcoming court date, where various outcomes, including a hearing, a settlement, or a continuance, could occur. As of now, Wallen has not entered a plea, and Robinson clarified that there is no obligation to do so at this stage.

The incident leading to Wallen’s arrest took place in April when he was booked on three felony counts of reckless endangerment and one misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct. Allegedly, Wallen threw a chair off the sixth-story roof of Eric Church’s new bar and honky-tonk, Chief’s. The chair landed near a group of Nashville police officers, as witnessed by bar staff and captured on video footage.

Following his arrest, Wallen was released on a $15,250 bond. Approximately a week later, he addressed the incident on social media, expressing remorse and taking responsibility for his actions. Despite the ongoing legal proceedings, Wallen has continued with his scheduled performances, including a show at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium tonight and several upcoming dates throughout North America, culminating in a July 4 concert in London.
