FedEx Driver Sentenced to Life in Prison for Murder of Manager

A FedEx driver named Ronald Sekanjako has been sentenced to life in prison with a minimum term of 27 years for the murder of his manager, Philip Woodcock. The incident occurred on November 2, 2022, at a FedEx depot in Hellaby, Rotherham. Sekanjako had been suspended from work after failing to pay for fuel the day before. Believing that FedEx had not paid him properly, Sekanjako armed himself with two knives and a hammer and confronted managers at the warehouse. Woodcock, who was trying to resolve the dispute, was fatally stabbed three times in front of his colleagues.

Sekanjako was found guilty of murder, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and possession of offensive weapons. The court heard that there was no evidence of discrimination, and Sekanjako showed no remorse for his actions. Woodcock’s family described his death as an “emotional blow” and said it had devastated their lives.
