Father Arrested for Kidnapping 4-Year-Old Daughter in North Fair Oaks

A 25-year-old man from Southern California was apprehended over the weekend on charges of kidnapping his own 4-year-old daughter, leading authorities in San Mateo County on a vehicle pursuit. The incident unfolded at approximately 4 p.m. on Saturday in North Fair Oaks, as reported by the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies from the sheriff’s office were en route to assist Atherton police officers in a separate vehicle pursuit when they were flagged down by a distressed woman. She informed them that her daughter had just been abducted by the child’s father. Recognizing the connection between the two cases, the sheriff’s office promptly alerted neighboring law enforcement agencies.

Atherton officers and sheriff’s deputies initiated a pursuit of the suspect’s vehicle, which ultimately came to a halt in the parking lot of the Budget Inn located at 2526 El Camino Real. This was the same location where the initial kidnapping occurred, according to the sheriff’s office. The driver was taken into custody without any resistance.

Fortunately, the child was unharmed during the incident and was safely reunited with her mother. The suspect, a resident of Pacoima in Los Angeles, now faces multiple charges, including kidnapping, child endangerment, false imprisonment, and reckless evading. He has been booked into the county jail.
