Double Shooting in the Bronx Suspected to be Murder-Suicide

A tragic incident unfolded in the Bronx on Thursday afternoon, resulting in the deaths of a man and a woman in what investigators suspect to be a murder-suicide. The victims, a 24-year-old man and an unidentified woman, were both found with gunshot wounds to the head at the intersection of 174th Street and Davidson Avenue in Morris Heights around 1:40 p.m., according to law enforcement sources.

Authorities arrived at the scene promptly and pronounced both individuals dead. A firearm was recovered by the police, although it remains unclear whether the shooting occurred inside a building or on the street. The exact nature of the relationship between the man and the woman has yet to be determined.

The male victim had a history of probation for juvenile robbery and had previously been apprehended for a violation of vehicle traffic laws, as per sources familiar with the matter.
