Bomb Threat Evacuates New York School Following Viral Video of Violent Incident

A bomb threat prompted the evacuation of Greece Arcadia High School and Middle School in Greece, New York, after a shocking video went viral on social media. The video, which appears to show a transgender student violently assaulting a smaller girl in a bathroom stall, has sparked outrage and concern within the community.

The Greece Central School District received an anonymous bomb threat via email early Friday morning, shortly after the video gained widespread attention. The threatening message, filled with slurs and profanity, criticized the district for allegedly failing to create a safe learning environment and accused them of promoting “mentally ill and degenerate behavior.”

Superintendent Kathleen Graupman condemned the incident, describing it as a hate crime. She expressed her determination to collaborate closely with authorities to ensure that those responsible for the threat are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

In response to the bomb threat, Greece police swiftly entered the school buildings and conducted thorough searches with the assistance of trained dogs. After confirming that there was no imminent danger, classes resumed, and students were allowed back on campus.

Graupman emphasized that the violent altercation captured in the video had not gone unnoticed or been ignored by the district. She stated that immediate action had been taken to address the incident, acknowledging its significance and disturbing nature.

The identity of the individual who made the bomb threat remains unknown, and the investigation is ongoing. Graupman expressed her frustration and concern over the intentional harm caused by using students as pawns in such acts.
