Accomplice Arrested in Connection with Escape of Philadelphia Teen Murder Suspect

Police have arrested an alleged accomplice of Shane Pryor, a 17-year-old murder suspect who escaped from a hospital recently. Pryor was in custody for a 2020 fatal shooting when he escaped from a hospital in Philadelphia. Surveillance footage revealed his escape, and he is believed to have been picked up by another individual. Michael Diggs, 18, the driver of the vehicle Pryor used, has been charged with hindering apprehension and related crimes. Pryor remains at large, with a reward offered for information leading to his arrest.

Shane Pryor was initially arrested in connection with the 2020 slaying of Tanya Harris in Philadelphia. Despite being in custody, he recently escaped from a hospital. Pryor’s defense attorney, Paul DiMaio, cited a court decision in December 2023 as a potential motive for the escape. Pryor is described as a 5-foot-7, 180-pound Black male and is considered dangerous. Authorities urge the public not to approach him and to call 911 with any information.
