YoungBoy Never Broke Again Arrested in Utah on Drug and Weapon Charges

YoungBoy Never Broke Again, also known as NBA YoungBoy, has been arrested in Utah on multiple charges, including drug and weapon offenses. The arrest came after the rapper allegedly violated his house arrest conditions. Law enforcement agencies, including Homeland Security and the FBI, executed a search warrant at YoungBoy’s residence on Tuesday morning as part of an ongoing investigation into criminal conduct.

The Cache County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson confirmed the arrest and stated that no further information would be released due to YoungBoy’s pattern of unlawful activity. The 24-year-old rapper, whose real name is Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, was taken into custody by the sheriff’s office on Tuesday afternoon. Online police records indicate that no bail has been set.

YoungBoy faces six charges, including possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person and a pattern of unlawful activity, both of which are Class 2 felony charges. Additional charges include procuring or attempting to procure drugs/prescriptions, identity fraud, forgery, and possession of other controlled substances.

This arrest in Utah comes while YoungBoy was serving house arrest in the state, awaiting trial in Baton Rouge for a federal weapons case. The case stems from a 2020 music video shoot where he allegedly possessed two guns, resulting in the arrest of 16 individuals on drug and weapon charges.

In a previous interview with Billboard in February 2023, YoungBoy expressed his intention to be baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints after his ankle monitor is removed.

Representatives for YoungBoy have not yet commented on the recent arrest. It is important to note that YoungBoy was found not guilty in 2022 of “knowingly” possessing a firearm during a separate arrest related to a 2021 incident in Los Angeles.
