Two Teenagers Arrested in Connection with Aurora Hills Shooting

Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with Wednesday’s Aurora Hills shooting, according to the Aurora Police Department. The 14-year-old boy was taken into custody on three outstanding warrants, including charges of second-degree assault, third-degree assault, and criminal mischief. Meanwhile, the 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of multiple weapons charges and obstructing a police officer.

During the arrest, it was discovered that the 15-year-old had an illegally modified handgun equipped with an auto switch, which can convert a semi-automatic handgun into a fully automatic weapon. Aurora Police Department spokesperson Sydney Edwards confirmed this information. However, it is still unclear whether the confiscated gun was used in the shooting incident.

Investigators are diligently working to determine the exact involvement of the arrested teenagers in Wednesday’s shooting. The police have successfully located all the suspects and victims related to the incident. They will collaborate with the district attorney’s office to determine appropriate charges for those who have not yet been arrested.

The initial reports of the shooting came in on Wednesday afternoon, prompting the response of Aurora officers to the 12000 block of East Ford Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered an injured individual at the scene. Both arrested boys were subsequently transported to the hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
