Shooting at Juneteenth Festival in Texas Leaves Two Dead and Six Injured

Two individuals have been killed and at least six others, including two children, have sustained injuries in a shooting incident that occurred during a Juneteenth festival in Round Rock, Texas. The incident took place at Old Settler’s Park, where authorities initiated an investigation shortly after midnight. Austin-Travis County EMS reported that four adults and two children were swiftly transported to nearby hospitals with potentially severe injuries. The Round Rock police, in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies, are currently conducting a search for the suspects involved.

The shooting unfolded at the 640-acre park located outside of Austin, where a Juneteenth BBQ, festival, and concert were being held. Rapper Paul Wall and his band were among the four scheduled performers at the event. Expressing his concern, Wall posted on X, “Round Rock, we are praying for everybody.” Later, he shared a post accompanied by five broken heart emojis. No further details regarding the suspect(s) have been made available at this time.
