Rapper Killer Mike Arrested at Grammys, Denies Allegations of Assault

Rapper Killer Mike, real name Michael Render, was taken into custody following the Grammy Awards ceremony held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The arrest came after a female security guard alleged that she was injured during a confrontation with the artist. Render, however, vehemently denied the accusation, stating that there was confusion regarding the entrance his team should use.

In an interview on The Daily Show with host Jordan Klepper, Killer Mike discussed his recent Grammy wins and attributed his success to his unwavering determination. He expressed gratitude for the recognition and revealed that his son, who had been awaiting a kidney transplant for years, finally found a match.

During the interview, Klepper inquired about Killer Mike’s thoughts on Taylor Swift allegedly snubbing Celine Dion onstage. The rapper playfully responded, praising Swift’s achievements and jokingly expressing interest in a polyamorous relationship with his wife.

Killer Mike also discussed his latest album, Michael, and how it deepened his connection to spirituality. He shared a personal experience of finding solace in prayer while being held in a jail cell after the Grammys incident. Render expressed his newfound belief and credited his prayers for the subsequent news of his son’s kidney match.

The rapper’s arrest occurred shortly after his performance of the song “Exit 9” on The Late Show, where he dedicated the rendition to his grandmother, Betty.

Render’s legal team remains confident that he will be cleared of any wrongdoing, emphasizing the overzealousness of the security guard involved. The artist and his team are proud of their accomplishments and are grateful for the positive developments in his personal life.
