A man’s attempt to break into Drake’s Toronto mansion on Wednesday has raised concerns, coming just a day after one of the rapper’s security guards was shot and injured outside the property. The failed intruder was apprehended by security personnel at the scene and subsequently taken into custody by Toronto police under Canada’s Mental Health Act, as reported by The Canadian Press. Sources close to the incident informed Global News that the man arrived at the gates, but security personnel were skeptical of his intentions.
The incident occurred in Toronto’s upscale Bridle Path neighborhood, although it remains unclear whether Drake was present during the break-in attempt or if he was at home during the shooting incident early Tuesday morning. Law enforcement authorities responded to reports of gunfire at the residence around 2 a.m. on Tuesday. The investigation revealed that one of Drake’s security guards had sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
