Two 15-Year-Old Boys Stabbed Outside Bronx McDonald’s in Latest Spate of Teen Violence

Two 15-year-old boys were stabbed outside a McDonald’s in the Bronx on Wednesday afternoon, adding to the troubling surge of youth violence in New York City. The incident occurred in front of the fast food restaurant located at 1600 Boston Road in Charlotte Gardens, just before 4 p.m., as confirmed by the police. One of the victims suffered a stab wound to the chest, while the other was slashed on the hand. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) promptly transported the injured youths to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Law enforcement authorities have stated that the motive behind the attack remains unclear, and the assailant managed to flee the scene. This stabbing incident is the latest in a series of violent acts involving teenagers in the city. On Tuesday, 16-year-old Mahki Brown, a talented basketball player from Crown Heights, Brooklyn, was fatally shot by a gunman on a bicycle in Soho. The tragic incident occurred near the upscale Dominick Hotel on Spring Street, with bullets striking Brown in the head and leg. While it is uncertain if Brown was the intended target, sources suggest that the shooting may have stemmed from a dispute between two groups of girls earlier that day. Brown’s grieving mother, Sean, tearfully described him as someone who was always willing to lend a helping hand, even going so far as to tattoo her name on his arm.

In another incident that unfolded hours after Brown’s murder, a 17-year-old boy was shot in the back outside the Amsterdam Houses, a public housing complex on the Upper West Side. The teenager was transported to Weill Cornell Medical Center in stable condition, and the suspected shooter remains at large. Additionally, three other 15-year-old boys were stabbed in separate attacks on Tuesday. One of them sustained a slash to the back of his head during an argument on an MTA bus in the Bronx, while the other two were injured in a stabbing at the intersection of South 2nd Street and Keap Street in Brooklyn.
