Tragic Shooting Claims Lives of Two Students Outside Innovations High School

Innovations High School in Chicago was struck by a senseless act of violence today, resulting in the tragic loss of two teenage students. Deputy Chief John H, accompanied by Commander Hill, Captain Manion, and Captain Harris, held a press conference to address the incident and offer their condolences to the grieving families.

According to Deputy Chief John H, the incident occurred around 12:25 PM when a group of students was leaving the school premises. Two cars pulled up, and a group of individuals emerged from the vehicles, opening fire on the unsuspecting students. The assailants fired multiple rounds, fatally striking two of the teenagers. The victims were rushed to Northwestern Hospital but, tragically, succumbed to their injuries.

The Chicago Police Department, led by Superintendent Snelling, expressed their deepest sympathies to the families affected by this senseless act of violence. They urged the public to come forward with any information that could aid in the investigation. The early stages of the inquiry have revealed that approximately six students were present during the incident, and it is believed that several individuals exited the vehicles before the gunfire erupted.

Additionally, a woman who happened to be passing by was grazed by a bullet on her jacket. Thankfully, she did not require medical treatment and is currently assisting the detectives with their inquiries. It is important to note that she was not a student at Innovations High School.
