Thieves Steal High-End Sports Cars from Fremont Dealership, One Suspect Arrested

In a daring heist reminiscent of a Hollywood action film, a pair of high-end sports cars were stolen from a dealership in Fremont last month. The Fremont Police Department announced on Wednesday that both vehicles, a Porsche GT3 and a Porsche GT3 RS with a combined value exceeding $500,000, have been recovered and one suspect is now in custody.

The theft occurred in the early hours of April 4 at a dealership located in the 5000 block of Cushing Parkway. Swiftly responding to the incident, officers determined the direction in which the stolen cars were headed. Several hours later, detectives located the Porsche GT3 RS in Milpitas and successfully returned it to the dealership.

Continuing their investigation, detectives were able to pinpoint the whereabouts of the Porsche GT3 on April 5. The driver of the vehicle was identified as a 22-year-old Hayward man, who was subsequently arrested. During the arrest, the suspect attempted to discard a loaded handgun. A subsequent search of his residence uncovered several high-capacity rifles, stolen property, a significant amount of money, and a police radio scanner.

The arrested individual faces multiple charges, including driving or taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, conspiracy, being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, being a convicted felon in possession of ammunition, and resisting or delaying an officer. The search for a second suspect, who remains unidentified, is ongoing.

Anyone with information related to this case is urged to contact Detective Andrew Dennis at 510-790-6900.

  • This is absolutely outrageous! How can anyone glorify such criminal behavior? Stealing high-end sports cars like it's some kind of thrilling movie plot is not only illegal but also morally reprehensible. It's disheartening to see that some individuals are willing to stoop so low for their own selfish desires. This kind of audacious heist should never be celebrated or romanticized. Instead, we should focus on condemning such actions and supporting efforts to bring these criminals to justice.
