Migrant Men from Venezuela Attack and Rob Chicago Straphanger in Disturbing Video

A shocking video has emerged, capturing the moment a group of migrant men from Venezuela attacked and robbed a commuter on a Chicago train in February. The surveillance footage, obtained by Fox News, reveals the disturbing incident that unfolded on February 17. The four suspects, identified as Fernando Loyo-Rodriguez, Wilker Gutierrez Sierra, Carlos Carreno-Carreno, and Yonnier Guasamucare Garcia, approached a 49-year-old man on the train and engaged him in conversation.

Initially appearing friendly, the migrants passed around a cigarette or a joint, creating a deceptive facade. However, their true intentions soon became evident. Suddenly, one of the men lunged at the victim, wrapping his arm around the man’s neck and applying a chokehold. The video clearly shows the victim losing consciousness due to the force of the attack.

As the victim lay unconscious, one of the suspects brandished a knife and held it against the man’s throat. Meanwhile, the others swiftly rifled through the victim’s pockets, seizing $400 in cash and a cellphone. After completing their robbery, the group, all aged between 18 and 22, fled the scene.

Approximately 45 minutes later, authorities apprehended the suspects. Each of them provided the address of a state-funded migrant shelter as their place of residence. The individuals, charged with robbery, aggravated battery/strangulation, and attempted murder, appeared in court on Tuesday in Cook County. Carreno-Carreno, Loyo-Rodriguez, and Guasamucare Garcia were remanded, while Gutierrez Sierra was released with electronic monitoring. Their next court hearing is scheduled for August 28.

If convicted of a felony, immigration experts have stated that three of the four defendants could face deportation. Over the past two years, Chicago has received approximately 35,000 migrants via bus or plane, with around 13,000 currently residing in shelters throughout the city.

In my city, there was a series of robberies targeting pedestrians in a popular downtown area. The perpetrators were a group of young individuals from a neighboring town. They would approach unsuspecting victims, often during busy hours, and snatch
