Hunter Biden Files Lawsuit Against Fox News Over Alleged Distribution of Intimate Images

Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, has filed a lawsuit against Fox News Network, alleging the distribution of his intimate images without his consent. The lawsuit claims that Fox News featured these images in a miniseries titled “The Trial of Hunter Biden,” which was distributed on the Fox Nation streaming service in October 2022. The controversial series, which has since been removed, depicted a fictitious mock trial centered around evidence allegedly found on Biden’s laptop.

In the lawsuit filed in New York, Biden asserts that Fox News targeted him as part of politically motivated attacks against his family. He argues that the inclusion of private and intimate images, showing him fully naked and engaged in sex acts, was a deliberate attempt to harass, humiliate, and tarnish his reputation. Biden contends that the miniseries was not a matter of legitimate public concern and should not be protected under free speech.

The lawsuit further claims that Fox News knowingly published and disseminated hacked, stolen, and/or manipulated digital material without Biden’s consent. It argues that the miniseries was created for commercial benefit, exploiting Biden’s name, image, and likeness. The lawsuit focuses on New York state’s “revenge porn” statute and includes claims for intentional infliction of emotional distress and unjust enrichment.

A spokesperson for Fox News responded to the lawsuit, stating that it is entirely politically motivated and devoid of merit. The spokesperson highlighted that Biden did not complain about the program until sending a letter in late April 2024, and the program was promptly removed. Fox News asserts that their coverage of newsworthy events involving Hunter Biden is consistent with the First Amendment and looks forward to defending their rights in court.

Hunter Biden’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, has not yet provided a comment on the lawsuit. Geragos previously sent a letter to Fox News, warning of a potential lawsuit over conspiracy and subsequent actions to defame Biden. However, the current lawsuit does not include a claim for defamation.

The lawsuit seeks damages for the intentional violation of the law and requests punitive damages to deter similar conduct in the future. Hunter Biden has been under investigation for years, with prosecutors examining his finances and a firearm acquisition. He was recently convicted on charges related to lying on a firearm purchase application and possessing a gun while battling addiction. Biden is also facing a separate trial for alleged tax evasion.

It is important to note that the House of Representatives authorized an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden, which has been described as a partisan charade by the White House. Fox News has been a platform supporting the Republican-backed effort, with significant coverage of Hunter Biden. However, the lawsuit focuses solely on the alleged distribution of intimate images and does not involve a claim related to the impeachment inquiry.

  • This is absolutely outrageous! It is beyond disturbing that Fox News would stoop so low as to distribute someone's intimate images without their consent. Hunter Biden, just like any other individual, deserves privacy and respect. This lawsuit is a necessary step to hold Fox News accountable for their unethical and invasive actions.

It is appalling that a news network, which claims to uphold journalistic integrity, would engage in such despicable behavior. This is a clear violation of Hunter Biden's rights and a gross invasion of his personal
