Federal Court Rejects Hunter Biden’s Appeal on Gun Charges, Sets Trial Date

In a recent development, the US Third Circuit Court of Appeals has rejected Hunter Biden’s appeal on three gun charges, paving the way for a trial scheduled to begin on June 3 in Delaware. The court cited a lack of jurisdiction and dismissed Hunter’s bid to have the case thrown out, as stated in a court filing on Thursday.

The court’s order clearly states, “This appeal is DISMISSED because the defendant has not shown the District Court’s orders are appealable before final judgment.” Following this ruling, Delaware US District Judge Maryellen Noreika, who is presiding over the case, issued a scheduling order for a three- to six-day jury trial on the three gun felonies.

Hunter Biden, aged 54, has pleaded not guilty to all charges, which include two counts of making false statements and one count of firearm possession by an unlawful substance abuser. If convicted, these felonies carry a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison.
