British Golfer Cloe May Frankish Fined $4,000 for Assaulting Police at Malta International Airport

British pro golfer Cloe May Frankish has been hit with a $4,000 fine after admitting to assaulting and disobeying police while intoxicated during an incident at Malta International Airport on June 12. The 25-year-old Frankish, hailing from Kent, and John Chinedu Uche, a 31-year-old London native, reportedly became aggressive with authorities after being denied boarding a flight home due to their intoxicated state.

Frankish, known as an OnlyFans model, and Uche were jointly charged with violently resisting arrest, refusing to obey legitimate orders of public officials, willfully breaching the public peace, and being drunk in public. Additionally, Frankish faced separate charges of willfully damaging a gate at the Malta International Airport Police Station and slightly injuring a police officer. Prosecutors presented evidence including a denied boarding report by EasyJet, photos of the damages, a quote for the damages, and a medical certificate for the injured officer.

As a result, Frankish was ordered to pay for the damage caused and received a restraining order, which mandates that she must stay away from the sergeant for a year. The court proceedings on June 15 revealed that Frankish had a cast on her left arm.

The incident unfolded when Frankish and Uche refused to comply with the cabin crew’s instructions, prompting the intervention of the police. The situation escalated, leading the authorities to call the Rapid Intervention Unit for backup.

Both Frankish and Uche pleaded guilty before Magistrate Abigail Critien. Frankish, who turned pro in 2017 and plays on the Ladies European Tour, has participated in 82 tournaments without securing a win but has achieved seven top-10 finishes.
