50 Cent Files Defamation Lawsuit Against Ex-Girlfriend Daphne Joy Narvaez Over Rape Accusation

Rapper Curtis Jackson, widely known as 50 Cent, has taken legal action against his ex-girlfriend Daphne Joy Narvaez, filing a defamation lawsuit in response to her recent rape accusation. The model, who has been engaged in a custody battle with Jackson, made the allegation after the rapper mocked her for being labeled a sex worker in Lil Rod’s sex abuse lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs, the Bad Boy Entertainment mogul. Jackson promptly denied the accusation and followed through on his promise to pursue legal recourse, submitting the lawsuit on Monday in the District Court of Harris County, Texas, where he currently resides.

According to the complaint, Jackson’s decision to contest Narvaez’s sole custody claim was prompted by her identification as a “long-time ‘sex worker'” in Lil Rod’s second amended complaint. He asserted that it was not in the best interest of their 11-year-old son for Narvaez to have sole custody, leading him to take immediate legal action to safeguard the child’s welfare. The news of his lawsuit garnered significant media attention at the time. In response, Jackson claimed that Narvaez, who had previously accused him of abuse, retaliated by accusing him of rape, causing widespread chaos and negatively impacting his ability to see his son, with only ten visits in two years.

Narvaez, an OnlyFans model, made the rape allegations through an Instagram post and story on March 28, which reached her nearly 2 million followers. Court documents obtained by The Times reveal that Jackson’s lawsuit contends that Narvaez made multiple defamatory statements on Instagram, falsely accusing him of rape and physical abuse during their past relationship. Jackson’s attorneys argue that these actions were a deliberate attempt to tarnish his personal and business reputation, harm his commercial interests, influence the custody case, and prevent him from having access to his minor son.

The complaint categorically denies the veracity of Narvaez’s accusations, stating that “the Defamatory Post is unequivocally false. Jackson did not rape or physically abuse Narvaez.” Jackson’s legal team also claims to have given Narvaez several opportunities to correct or retract her statements. The filing includes an April 2 letter from Jackson’s representatives demanding a retraction. However, Narvaez’s lawyers allegedly responded by making extortionate demands, including a request for millions of dollars and the withdrawal of the custody lawsuit, in exchange for removing the post. These demands are described as “clearly extortive in nature” in the lawsuit.
