Young Thug’s Attorney Held in Contempt of Court Over Alleged Private Conversation

Young Thug’s attorney, Steel, was held in contempt of court on Monday after refusing to disclose the source of information regarding an alleged private conversation involving a key state witness, prosecutors, and Judge Ural Glanville. The conversation reportedly discussed Kenneth Copeland’s expected testimony, which claimed that Young Thug was aware of renting a car for the purpose of orchestrating the murder of Donovan “Peanut” Thomas, a member of the alleged rival gang, YFN.

Copeland, who had been granted immunity for his testimony, had initially refused to testify and was held in contempt last Friday. However, he eventually took the stand on Monday but evaded questions during his testimony. It was during the lunch break that Steel learned about the alleged meeting, which had supposedly taken place earlier that day. Steel suggested that Copeland may have been coerced or intimidated during the meeting, raising concerns of witness intimidation and constitutional rights violations.

Judge Glanville requested Steel to reveal the source of the information, but Steel refused and questioned why he had not been included in the alleged conversation. Glanville did not deny the occurrence of the meeting, stating that there was “nothing that was improper” about the ex-parte conversation. The leak of the conversation was what frustrated Glanville, considering it a violation of the court’s sanctity.

Amidst the heated exchange, Glanville held Steel in contempt and ordered his custody. However, Steel was later allowed to return to court, and even the state’s lead prosecutor requested his presence for the remainder of the day. Glanville gave Steel until 5 p.m. to disclose his source, failing which the contempt charge would stand.

  • This is absolutely outrageous! How can Young Thug's attorney, Steel, be allowed to get away with refusing to disclose such crucial information in court? This blatant disregard for the legal process is a slap in the face to justice.

The fact that Steel is withholding the source of information about an alleged private conversation involving a key state witness, prosecutors, and even the judge is deeply concerning. This information could potentially shed light on the truth and ensure a fair trial, yet Steel's actions are obstructing justice

  • I would recommend using a secure messaging app like Signal for private conversations involving sensitive information. Signal is known for its end-to-end encryption, ensuring that your messages remain private and cannot be intercepted or accessed by anyone else. It's a great tool for protecting your privacy and maintaining confidentiality, especially in legal matters where sensitive information is involved.

  • It's concerning to see Young Thug's attorney being held in contempt of court for refusing to disclose the source of information. While I understand the importance of protecting sources, it's crucial to maintain transparency and uphold the integrity of the legal system. If there is relevant information that could impact the case, it should be disclosed to ensure a fair trial for all parties involved. It will be interesting to see how this situation unfolds and how it may affect the overall outcome of the case.
