Woman’s Body Found in Trash Bin in Sunland Identified as Heather Hass

The Los Angeles County medical examiner has identified the woman whose body was discovered inside a trash bin in Sunland earlier this week. The deceased has been identified as 32-year-old Heather Hass. The cause of her death has not yet been disclosed.

On Tuesday morning, officers from the Los Angeles Police Department responded to a call from a resident in the 8500 block of Wentworth Street. Upon arrival, they found the body of Heather Hass inside a trash bin. Helicopter footage captured by KTLA-TV showed police conducting their investigation near a closed black bin at a curb in the neighborhood.

Local resident William Elliot informed KNBC-TV that someone had dumped the trash bin onto his property. Unaware of its contents, he moved the bin to the street. However, upon noticing a suspicious odor and the scratched-off serial number, he promptly contacted the police.

The discovery of Heather Hass’s body has raised concerns within the community. As the investigation continues, authorities are working to determine the circumstances surrounding her death. Further details regarding the cause of death have not been released at this time.

Residents in Sunland are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities. The Los Angeles Police Department is actively investigating this case and encourages anyone with information to come forward.
