Woman Caught on Surveillance Camera Doing Yoga Before Burglary at Australian Bakery

In a bizarre turn of events, a 44-year-old woman from Richmond, Australia, was caught on surveillance camera engaging in a yoga routine moments before burglarizing a local bakery. The incident took place at Phillippa’s Bakery on North Street in Richmond during the early hours of March 3.

The bakery shared the footage on their Instagram account, expressing their surprise at the unusual sequence of events. The video shows the suspect dressed in all black, performing various yoga poses and stretches in the bakery’s parking lot. The comedic footage captures her kicking her legs up, lifting her arms, and rolling her shoulders as she lies on the ground.

According to reports, the flexible bandit made off with a selection of croissants, along with a pair of shoes, an iPad, and cleaning products. The bakery humorously noted that the croissants were clearly too tempting for the burglar to resist.

The 44-year-old woman was subsequently charged with theft, burglary, and going equipped to steal. She has since been released on bail, as reported by local outlet 9 News.

While the incident may seem comical, it serves as a reminder of the audacity and unpredictability of criminal behavior. The surveillance footage captured the suspect’s pre-burglary yoga routine, adding an unusual twist to an otherwise routine crime.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident, and Phillippa’s Bakery is taking necessary measures to enhance their security measures to prevent future break-ins.
