A 63-year-old woman was brutally attacked and repeatedly stabbed by a male transient inside a laundromat in Victorville, California. The incident occurred on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at a laundromat located on the 14600 block of 7th Street. Eyewitnesses reported that the suspect, identified as 43-year-old Robert Garcia, entered the establishment wielding a pair of scissors.
Garcia approached the victim and launched a vicious assault, stabbing her approximately eight times before kneeing her in the face. The severity of the attack left the victim fighting for her life. Prompt action by local authorities led to the arrest of Garcia, who was apprehended near the crime scene. Both the victim and witnesses positively identified Garcia as the perpetrator.
Robert Garcia has been taken into custody and subsequently booked at the High Desert Detention Center. He now faces charges of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and aggravated battery causing serious bodily injury.
