Woman Arrested for Fatally Stabbing Partner in Aston Murder Case

In Aston, Pennsylvania, a woman named Beth Peterson has been arrested for the murder of her partner, Matthew Wilcox. The incident occurred Monday night when Peterson stabbed Wilcox in the chest with a steak knife. Despite Peterson’s attempts to perform CPR, Wilcox could not be revived and was pronounced dead at the Crozer Chester Medical Center.

According to the criminal complaint, the police had responded to previous domestic disputes at the couple’s home, indicating a toxic nature in their relationship. Wilcox’s mother, Marie Wilcox, had also been involved in mediating their arguments in the past. Peterson admitted to the police that she had stabbed Wilcox, expressing remorse and guilt.

No signs of abuse or assault were found on Peterson, and she was taken into custody without injury. She has been charged with criminal homicide, murder of the first degree, murder of the third degree, and possession of an instrument of crime.

Neighbors, including Tony Mignogna, expressed shock at the incident, as the couple had been regarded as good neighbors. The impact of this tragic event has deeply affected the community, highlighting the dangers of tumultuous relationships.

Peterson was arraigned before District Judge Diane Holefelder and has been denied bail. She is awaiting her preliminary hearing at the George W. Hill Correctional Facility. If found guilty, Peterson could face a sentence of life imprisonment or the death penalty.
