Virginia Woman and Three Children Reported Missing After Missed Court Dates

A Virginia woman, Lauren Cook, and her three children, Benjamin Cook, Hannah Cook, and Elijah Cook, have been reported missing after she failed to appear for two court dates earlier this month. The missing persons report was filed on September 13 after Lauren Cook did not show up for a rescheduled court appearance in Franklin County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court. This court appearance was a reschedule from a previous date on September 5, which she also missed.

Lauren Cook’s husband, Jordan Cook, has since released a statement insisting that his wife and children are safe and not missing. He claims to have heard from his wife and believes they are doing well. However, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office stated that there has been no reported contact from Lauren Cook and her children since September 5 or 6.

To remove the missing persons status, law enforcement agencies must make in-person contact with Lauren Cook and her children to confirm their safety and well-being. Until then, they will remain listed as missing in local and national databases.

Investigators have discovered that Lauren Cook and her children were last seen in Litchfield, Illinois, and have connections in various other states. Authorities are urging anyone with information on their whereabouts to contact the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office at 540-483-3000 or their local law enforcement agency.
