Kent police are intensively investigating the disappearance of 54-year-old Claire Knights, last seen in Upstreet village near Canterbury two days ago. Her disappearance is described as highly unusual. Following the discovery of her dog, Zebulon, in Minnis Bay, authorities are treating the case as potentially suspicious. A man in his twenties has been detained on suspicion of murder.
Detective Chief Inspector Kath Way expressed the force’s dedication to uncovering the truth, mentioning that the family is receiving support from specialist officers. Residents of Thanet are informed of an increased police presence while the search continues. Ms. Knights is 5ft 6in tall with brown, greying straight hair. She was last believed to be carrying a distinctive red or pink rucksack and walking her white and brown spaniel.
Police have called for public assistance, asking those with private CCTV or dashcam footage to review their records for potential leads.
