Philadelphia police are currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred in the West Kensington neighborhood on Saturday. Two teenagers were shot in the incident, which took place on the 2100 block of North Fairhill Street shortly after 12:30 a.m.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered a 16-year-old victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to Temple University Hospital in critical but stable condition, as confirmed by the police. Subsequently, an 18-year-old male arrived at the same hospital with a gunshot wound, believed to have been sustained in the same area as the first victim. The 18-year-old is listed in stable condition.
According to authorities, the victims were attending a party in the vicinity when they heard gunshots and attempted to flee, only to be struck by gunfire. The investigation has revealed the presence of 24 shell casings at the scene, with an additional six found on the 2000 block of North Reese Street. The Action Cam captured footage of at least one bullet hole that penetrated the window of a neighboring home, reportedly an Airbnb rental.
Police have provided a description of the suspects involved in the incident, identifying them as two males with thin builds, dressed entirely in black. The individuals were last seen fleeing the crime scene, according to investigators. As of now, no arrests have been made, and no weapons have been recovered.
