Two Shot in West Kensington, Investigation Underway

An investigation is currently underway after a shooting incident occurred in the West Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia. The incident took place on the 100 block of Diamond Street, shortly before 2 a.m. on Sunday.

According to the police, two individuals were found with gunshot wounds at the scene. A 41-year-old man sustained eight gunshot wounds throughout his body and was immediately transported to Temple University Hospital by the responding officers. He is currently listed in critical condition.

The second victim, a 19-year-old woman, was struck three times in her right arm. She is reported to be in stable condition and is also receiving medical treatment at the same hospital.

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and authorities have not yet recovered any weapons. The investigation is ongoing, and the police are actively working to gather more information and identify any potential suspects.

The incident has caused concern among residents in the West Kensington community, as such acts of violence disrupt the peace and safety of the neighborhood. Local authorities are urging anyone with information related to the shooting to come forward and assist in the investigation.
