Two Men in Custody Following Deadly Shooting and Police Chase

Two men have been taken into custody after a deadly shooting and subsequent police chase in West Midland, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. The incident occurred on Friday morning when police responded to reports of shots fired. Isaac Love, 31, was found on Walnut Way with multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Surveillance video captured two men, later identified as Derek Craig, 26, and Paris Bailey, 20, fleeing the area and entering a small white car immediately after the shooting. Craig has had previous interactions with the police, primarily involving illegal firearms. Thirty minutes later, both men were located coming out of a home on Main Street and getting into a vehicle driven by Craig.

A chase ensued through several streets in West Midland, during which Craig intentionally rammed his vehicle into a police car. Eventually, he slowed down and fled on foot but was apprehended by officers near Magnolia and Cyprus. Bailey also attempted to escape but was arrested near George and Sherry. During the arrests, a cell phone and a handgun equipped with an illegal switch enabling it to function fully automatic were recovered.

Craig is facing charges of aggravated assault and fleeing a police officer, among others. Bailey is facing multiple weapons charges. Both men are currently held in Allegheny County Jail, with Craig being held without bail.
