Two individuals, a 20-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man, sustained gunshot wounds during a shooting incident in Oakland’s San Antonio district on Monday morning. Both victims are currently in stable condition after receiving medical treatment at a local hospital. According to authorities, the shooting occurred at approximately 5:22 a.m. in the 1400 block of 16th Avenue.
Preliminary reports suggest that the two victims were involved in a dispute with a group of individuals, including a man who subsequently opened fire on them. The exact nature of the disagreement remains undisclosed, and it is unclear whether the victims were acquainted with the shooter. The wounded individuals managed to transport themselves to the hospital, while the assailant fled the scene before law enforcement arrived. Authorities have recovered multiple shell casings in the vicinity.
No information regarding the suspect has been released, and no arrests have been made thus far.
