Two individuals are currently in custody after being involved in a robbery and high-speed chase in Lamoni, Decatur County, Iowa. The incident began when an officer from the Lamoni Police Department observed a vehicle speeding away from a robbery at the Hy-Vee Pharmacy. A deputy from the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office later spotted the same car on I-35.
According to investigators, the car reached speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour as it traveled through Clarke County. The pursuit came to an end when the Osceola Police Department used stop sticks to disable the vehicle near Highway 34. The car sustained damage as a result.
One of the individuals taken into custody has been identified as Jahmell Grave. Further details regarding the robbery and the charges against the individuals involved have not been released at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
