Two Homeless People Found Shot to Death on South Platte River Trail in Denver

The Denver Police Department is currently investigating the deaths of two individuals who were found shot to death on the South Platte River Trail within the past week. The first victim, a woman, was discovered deceased at 12:25 a.m. on Wednesday under Interstate 70 in the area of East 45th Avenue and North Washington Street. The second victim, a man, was found dead at 12:36 a.m. on Saturday near the intersection of South Platte River Drive and West Florida Avenue.

Preliminary findings suggest a potential connection between the two deaths, according to the Denver Police Department. Both victims are believed to be homeless, although neither was found near an encampment. Investigators are actively seeking information regarding the identity and whereabouts of an adult male suspect.
