Two men were killed and six others injured in a shooting that took place at an unsanctioned public party in Memphis, Tennessee. The incident occurred on Saturday night at Orange Mound Park, where an estimated 200 to 300 attendees had gathered. The Memphis Police Department responded to the reported shooting at 7:19 p.m.
During a news conference held at the scene, Chief Cerelyn Davis of the Memphis Police Department confirmed that two men were pronounced dead at the park. The six surviving victims were immediately transported to hospitals, with one individual in critical condition at Regional One Health in Memphis.
