Two Arrested in Petaluma for Possession and Distribution of Obscene Material Involving Minors

Police in Petaluma, California have made significant progress in two separate cases involving the possession and distribution of obscene material involving minors. The Petaluma Police Department announced on Wednesday that arrests have been made in both incidents.

In the first case, authorities received a tip regarding the presence of obscene material. Petaluma detectives diligently pursued the lead and were able to establish probable cause against a suspect identified as Thomas Price. It was alleged that Price was in possession of illegal and obscene material. On March 8, Price was apprehended pursuant to a warrant and subsequently booked into Sonoma County Jail. The charges against Price include possessing materials depicting individuals under the age of 18 engaging in or simulating sexual conduct, secretly recording another identifiable person without consent while in a state of undress in an area where privacy is reasonably expected, and annoying or molesting a child under the age of 18.

In the second case, Petaluma police detectives received another tip related to obscene material. Investigators identified the suspect as Angel Vega, who was allegedly in possession of such material with the intention to distribute it. On March 13, Vega was arrested and booked into Sonoma County Jail. The charges against Vega include possessing materials depicting individuals under the age of 18 engaging in or simulating sexual conduct, as well as distributing or possessing with the intent to distribute such materials.
