Tioni Theus was last seen on Jan. 7, 2022, in Compton, CA. At the time, she told her father she was going to meet a friend and then go to a party. The following morning drivers reported seeing what appeared to be a body on the side of an on-ramp leading to the 110 Freeway. This body turned out to be the 16-year-old Theus. She’d been shot in the neck and killed before her body was discarded along the roadside.

According to Theus’ parents, she’d been harassed by an unknown man she’d met on social media. This person had supposedly lured Theus into sex trafficking briefly. There is very little other information available regarding Theus’ case, however the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has indicated it may be connected to human trafficking. There is currently a $110,000 reward being offering for information that leads to the perpetrator in the case.

reward: Changing daily, most news outlets say $110k but as of Jan 28 NY Post shows it’s $115k https://nypost.com/2022/01/27/la-officials-plead-for-help-in-solving-killing-of-tioni-theus/ Location of body based on this image: https://nypost.com/2022/01/27/la-officials-plead-for-help-in-solving-killing-of-tioni-theus/ and the directions of “West Manchester Avenue on-ramp near South Figueroa Street” from this article: https://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/local/tioni-theus-murder-110-freeway-reward/2805083/ 33.9598862,-118.2820008 I pinned the location of the onramp as it matched the images on the news.
