Six teenage boys vanished following a party in Pickering, Ontario, on March 17, 1995. The boys, Jay Boyle, 17; Chad Smith, 18; Robbie Rumboldt, 17; Michael Cummins, 17; Danny Higgins, 16; and Jamie Lefebvre, 17, were last seen on a surveillance camera breaking into a Frenchman’s Bay marina at 1:48 a.m. They were never seen again.
A massive search for the missing teens was launched but turned up little. The only evidence was a gas can from one of the boats, which was found in Wilson, NY. Residents claimed to have heard a motorboat on Frenchman’s Bay between 2:30-3 a.m. Two boats were missing from two different marinas: a Boston Whaler motorboat and a three-wheeled paddle boat. In 1998, a pair of red jeans, similar to ones being worn by Boyle when he disappeared, were found in the Niagara River. After five years, DNA tests on the jeans revealed they did not belong to the missing boy. While investigators said they suspect the boats the boys stole capsized and they drowned, they are officially still missing.
