Singer Trey Songz is currently facing a $10 million sexual assault lawsuit filed against him by a woman identified as Jane Doe. The lawsuit alleges that Songz groped the accuser at a pool party in August 2013 during an event called “Foxwoods Liquid Sundays with Trey Songz” at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, CT. Video footage submitted by a friend of the accuser shows Songz pulling down the top of her swimwear, exposing her breast, while making inappropriate comments.

Initially seeking $5 million to avoid going to court, Jane Doe has now increased the amount to $10 million. However, Songz’s legal team has moved to dismiss the lawsuit, arguing that it is beyond the three-year statute of limitations. Alongside Songz, his production company, manager Kevin Liles, and Atlantic Records are also named as defendants in the suit. Jane Doe alleges that they were negligent in supervising Songz and bear some responsibility for his actions.

This lawsuit is one of several legal battles that Trey Songz is currently facing.
