Three Police Officers Shot in Washington D.C., Injuries Non-Life-Threatening

Three police officers were shot in Washington D.C. on Wednesday morning, according to authorities. The Metropolitan Police Department released a statement confirming that the officers were shot in the southeast part of the city at approximately 8:30 a.m. The injuries sustained by the officers are reported to be non-life-threatening.

No further details regarding the incident have been made available at this time. However, the police union stated that three of its members were shot by a suspect and have been transported to nearby hospitals for treatment of their gunshot wounds.
