Three Officers Injured in Washington, D.C. Shooting

Three officers were injured in a shooting incident that occurred in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday morning, according to the Metropolitan Police. The incident took place in the southeast part of the nation’s capital at approximately 8:30 a.m. ET. The officers sustained non-life-threatening injuries after being shot by a suspect and were subsequently transported to a nearby hospital, as confirmed by the police union.

The shooting occurred in the vicinity of Kipp Academy, prompting the closure of multiple roads as the investigation unfolds.
