Three individuals sustained injuries during a robbery that escalated into a shooting incident on Monday night in Oakland. The Oakland Police Department reported that the incident occurred shortly after 9 p.m. in the 1200 block of Harrison Street, near Lake Merritt. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered one man with at least one gunshot wound and another man with minor scratches. The gunshot victim was promptly transported to a local hospital, where he is currently in stable condition. A third victim arrived at a nearby hospital shortly thereafter and is also listed in stable condition, according to the police.
Authorities have determined that the shooting was a result of the robbery, and the suspects fled the scene in a vehicle. During the investigation, officers recovered a loaded firearm, as well as bullets and a bullet casing.
