Teenager Fires Shots at Carroll County Deputy During High-Speed Chase

During a routine traffic stop on June 22nd, a high-speed chase in Carroll County, Georgia turned dangerous when a 16-year-old suspect fired shots at Deputy Archie Barber. The incident, captured on dashcam video, lasted over 20 minutes and ended with the suspect crashing the stolen truck and fleeing the scene.

The suspect, identified as Damian King O’Neal Patterson, had stolen both the firearm and the truck from the same home in a neighboring county. Deputy Barber did not return fire and was unharmed.

Patterson was later apprehended by deputies. He is being charged as an adult and faces multiple charges, including attempted murder.
