Teen Slashed in Face by Classmate Outside Brooklyn School

A heated clash between two 13-year-old classmates outside Explore Charter School in Brooklyn resulted in one of them being slashed in the face, according to authorities. The incident occurred on a Friday morning after the teens engaged in a verbal argument on a bus, which escalated into a violent confrontation. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was promptly transported to Kings County Hospital Center for treatment.

Law enforcement sources revealed that the altercation took place on Parkside Avenue near Nostrand Avenue in Prospect Lefferts Gardens. The young suspect, whose identity remains undisclosed due to being a minor, was apprehended and now faces charges of assault and criminal possession of a weapon. A knife, believed to be the weapon used in the attack, was recovered at the scene.

This incident adds to a series of school-related assaults involving teenagers in New York City. Just days prior, a 12-year-old girl allegedly stabbed another student in the hand inside Pathways College Preparatory School in Hollis, Queens. Similarly, on Monday, a 14-year-old boy was slashed in the chest during a dismissal-time fight with a 13-year-old student outside M.S. 246 Walt Whitman in Flatbush, Brooklyn.

The wounded teen from Monday’s incident sought refuge inside his school before being transported to Kings County Hospital Center, where he is currently in stable condition.
