A 13-year-old girl, Kassidy Jones, was brutally assaulted at a McDonald’s in Harbor City, Los Angeles County, California. The incident, which occurred on September 6, was captured on video and shows Jones being punched, kicked, and knocked to the ground by a female suspect. The attack took place while Jones was walking home from school. Despite the presence of numerous witnesses, no one intervened or offered assistance to the victim, who was left bloodied with a severely swollen face.
According to Jones, the assault was unprovoked, and she had never seen the attacker before. The suspect allegedly yelled obscenities at Jones during the assault, threatening to fight her. The video footage shows the larger suspect overpowering Jones, repeatedly punching her in the face while onlookers watched without intervening. Eventually, a man accompanying the suspect pulled her off Jones, and they left the scene with the victim’s food.
Jones’s mother, Angelina Gray, expressed her disappointment in the lack of intervention from witnesses and called for justice. Jones, who is currently recovering from the attack, stated that she did nothing to provoke the assault and emphasized that it is unacceptable for an adult to harm a child.
The victim’s family is urging anyone with information about the suspect or the attack to contact the Los Angeles Police Department at 1-877-275-5273.
