Tecumseh Man Changes Plea to Guilty to Holding Girls at Knifepoint and Raping Them

Cliffton Davila

Cliffton Davila, a 32-year-old man from Tecumseh, Oklahoma, has pleaded guilty to holding two girls at knifepoint and raping them. During his trial in September, Davila initially pleaded not guilty. However, after listening to the victims’ accounts of the horrific encounters, he surprised the courtroom by changing his plea to guilty.

According to court records, Davila admitted to knocking on the doors of two separate victims late at night and breaking into their homes while wearing a mask. He then held a knife to their throats, held them against their will, and forced them to perform oral sex.

The community was left on edge for days as news of the attacks spread. Approximately 40 people, including two police officers, reported receiving knocks on their doors that night. Suspicion grew around Davila when he called 911 and asked if he was in trouble.

Tecumseh Police Chief J.R. Kidney expressed relief that justice would be served for the crimes committed by Davila. A Pottawatomie County judge will determine his sentence for the assaults on Monday, October 30.
